Scholarships

 
One of the many goals of the Wyoming Meat Processors Association is to encourage the growth of our industry. In addition to several donations provided to the Wheel of Brands Scholarship at the University of Wyoming, we also provide a yearly scholarship(s) at the University of Wyoming per the following application and selection process:
 
Eligibility:  Available to all entering freshmen, transfer students or undergraduates majoring in Food Science or Animal Science. Other majors may be eligible if the student is interested in a meat industry career. Applicants should be interested in meat science.
 
Provided by:  Wyoming Meat Processors Association
 
Number:  Varies and is renewable.
 
Value: Varies, with a minimum of $500.
 
Selection Process: All application packets are reviewed and the recipient(s) is/are selected by Wyoming Meat Processors Association
 
Application Deadline:  March 31, 2017
 
To Apply:  Submit two letters of recommendation, a brief resume, current transcripts, and a one page essay explaining career goals and your interest in the meat industry to:  Dr. Warrie J. Means, Animal Science Department, University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY.
